What a joy it is to celebrate the gift of children! Whether you have just welcomed your little one or are eagerly preparing for their arrival, please know that I am praying for you and would find great joy in supporting you as you shepherd your growing flock. Parenting is a beautiful calling, and you are not alone—your church family is here to walk with you.

One way we come alongside parents is through Parent-Child Dedication. This special service is a time for you to publicly commit to your marriage and family to raise your child in the love and truth of Jesus. At the same time, our church family commits to supporting and praying for you. It is always one of the sweetest moments and greatest privilege for our congregation.

We have scheduled our next several upcoming dedication opportunities for any of the three service times on the following Sundays:

• November 16, 2025
• January 18, 2026
• March 15, 2026
• May 10, 2026
• July 26, 2026
• September 20, 2026
• November 15, 2026

Because this day is so meaningful, we require both parents to attend a Parent Orientation Meeting ahead of time. These gatherings give us the chance to talk about the heart behind dedication, share encouragement, and connect you with other young families. These meetings are scheduled on Wednesday evenings when childcare is available if needed for your family. If you have dedicated one of your children at First Baptist Church Statesboro in the past, then this short meeting is not required.
