Why Church Membership? On a regular basis, you will hear me ask people to make the commitment of church membership. More than just being a regular attendee, a person who commits to church membership says he wants to be “cared for and counted on.” Church membership creates a sense of accountability and community where believers can grow in their faith together.

Meet our Staff
First Baptist Church Statesboro was founded by a group of seven individuals who wanted to make a difference for Jesus Christ in this community. Today, we continue in that same spirit. Led by Pastor John Waters and supported by a dedicated staff committed to serving our congregation and community with love and excellence.
