Student Ministry

Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:12

About FBCBORO Students

We understand some of the challenges middle school and high school students they face, and it’s our goal to encourage and strengthen them along the way. By partnering with parents, we nurture a students faith through groups like Sunday School and Midweek. Our focus is on scripture, its relevance, and practical application in daily life. Our goal is for students to embrace the gospel, know Christ, and share their faith while fostering relationships and serving the community. Join us on the third level!

Sunday School Classes

9:45am • Third level Student floor

Sunday School classes are divided by grades.

SNL Sunday Night Live

5:00pm – 6:30pm • Waldos Café on third level Student Floor

SNL is designed to be a mixture of fun games, fellowship, and focused Bible study. We start off at 5pm with games for roughly 45 minutes and then spend the rest of the time studying Scripture. We split our students into smaller groups, they are assigned verses of scripture and work through several questions to gain a deeper understanding of what that scripture says. Then we come back together and discuss what we studied. Afterwards, we go and eat at a local restaurant. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in SNL.

Midweek groups

Wednesdays • 6:00pm • The Gathering on third Level Student floor

Midweek is our time to come together as a large group and worship through music and teaching. Mark spends time each week teaching through scripture to help students dive deeper in their faith and challenges them to live like Christ. Then, we split up into small groups and dive deeper into the topic that was taught. If you would like to see what your student is being taught or would be taught, we have our own YouTube page where the sermons are recorded and posted. Click the link below.

Can I volunteer to help?

Volunteers are essential to the ministries of First Baptist, as we could not do what we do without them. Those interested in volunteering in our Preschool, Children, and Student Ministries should contact our ministry offices to find out more about the opportunities to serve. Our SafeWatch Policy explains our guidelines for volunteers in these ministries. (Click the Child Safety Training Link below).
